Hello, and welcome to my Digication portfolio! My name is Daniel Keough and I am a recent graduate of Boise State University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Political Science, emphasis in International Relations, a B.A. in Spanish, and a minor in Latin American and Latino/a Studies. I graduated with a GPA of 3.940 and am fluent in Spanish. I am very interested in the region of Latin America and U.S.-Latin American relations. I participated in a Study Abroad program in Puerto Rico for the academic year of 2012-2013, where I took all of my courses in Spanish with local students, and experienced a new perspective on domestic and international affairs. I also spent three months interning for the United States Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The courses I have taken while attending Boise State University have helped me to build a comprehensive knowledge of U.S-Latin American relations. I have taken multiple courses in International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Foreign Policy. Some examples of these courses include "Nacionalismo, Colonialismo e Imperialismo" and "International Political Economy" at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, as well as POLS 423 "Latin American Politics" and POLS 420 "Comparative Foreign Policy" at Boise State University. I have also taken multiple courses concerning the history of Latin America, Latin American culture and literature, and have completed all levels of Spanish grammar, taking many of these courses in Spanish. Some examples of these courses include Spanish 412 "Advanced Spanish Grammar and Syntax" at Boise State University and Español 4222 "Literatura Hispanoamericana II" at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. These courses have given me the ability to effectively communicate political, economic, literary, and historical topics in both Spanish and English, which is a necessity in an international political environment.
