Instructions for Lights

  • There is a button on the Wheel Brightz battery pack that turns the light circuit on and off.
  • The picture at the bottom left depicts when the lights will not turn on (because the nut attached to the spring is not touching the piece of copper). The picture at the bottom right depicts when the lights will turn on (because the nut attached to the spring is touching the piece of copper).
  • If one of the lights isn’t working (or is barely flashing when the wheels’ spin) check to make sure the spring isn’t bent out of shape.
  • If that isn’t the problem, make sure the battery pack is turned on.
  • If that doesn’t make a difference, remove the battery pack cover (will require a screwdriver for the four screws) and replace the batteries. Each pack has three double A batteries inside.

(These instructions were given to our client, Ms. Malone, when we delivered the final product)

Final Sketch

Below is the final drawing made for our device. It is slightly different from our original plans due to the team wanting to make the device more aesthetically pleasing (the extra bar placed in center for pinwheel and bent PVC pipe used to make a sleeker looking design)
