Compartments

The housing for each of the 28 pill cups is constructed of high density polyethylene (HDPE) and a clear polycarbonate. The polycarbonate makes up the two piece lid, held together by two screws. The lid is then attached to the base structure using brass hinges. To hold the lids closed, two magnets were placed in the base structure and attract to the screw heads. The lids also function to trigger the plunger sensor. The pill cups then sit in the holes cut in the HDPE and are secured in the compartment by the lid.
