The main notable variation on the prototype is the wireless transmitter. It was found that sufficient range could not be provided using the original XBee Pro 900 module. The Xbee Pro XSC was choosen as a replacement transmitter because of its boosted range. The upgraded power allowed for much further data transmission but came at a price of a lower baud rate.
