Per the design the electronics board used the following:

      • STM32F4 ARM processor (clocked at 168MHz)
      • (2x) I2C
      • (3x) USART
      • SDIO
      • ChibiOS with total of 4 threads
      • Accelerometer, altimeter, gyroscope, and GPS sensors
      • XBee Pro 900 XSC

The board was sent off to be routed, parts ordered, and then soldered by hand. Below are pictures of the circuit board before populating the board. 







The transmitting equipment on the board have to be grounded for good functionality. Faraday cage was implemented on the board by connected the three ground layers on the board together using vias. The seperation between the vias is 1 inch. Below is a picture of the circuit design layout for the Faraday cage implementation on the board.
